"Bald Mount Survivor" is an old pine tree on the south side of Bald Mountain above the Lolo Trail. It has escaped some of the many fires that have raced through the Lolo Trail forests over the centuries.

Bald Mountain was a bountiful open hillside used as a popular campsite by all people that travelled the Lolo Trail.
